It’s here that we saw an opportunity to develop affordable and innovative tech for all organisations regardless the country they are based in.
This was the reason why we founded Similie back in 2016, to develop innovative tech without the price tag, not just for the development sector but also for a diversity of industries and organisations.

Meet the founders
Craig McVeigh CEO
Co-founder of Similie, Craig has been the CEO since its inception. With 20 years’ experience, in the water sector covering ecosystem research, drafting and evaluating law and policy in water resources management and rural water supply. Craig also has extensive experience in the corporate and development sectors of emerging markets, contributing to Similie’s business development and growth. Before founding Similie, Craig worked as consultant at the World Bank and was previously Deputy Program Lead and Water Resources Management Adviser at BESIK in Timor-Leste. He also worked for the Natural Water Commission in Australia. Craig studied at the University of Adelaide.
Adam Smith CTO
Adam is co-founder and has been Similie’s CTO since the company’s formation in 2016. With a strong background in ICT consulting solutions and telecommunications and expertise in South East Asia and emerging markets, Adam has been instrumental in driving Similie’s innovative tech solutions. He has played a lead role in developing Similie’s ONE cloud-based platform and its IoT devices. Previously, Adam worked as an independent ICT consultant for the development sector in several emerging markets and held corporate roles at T-Mobile. Adam holds a MS in Computer Science from The Johns Hopkins University.
